Established a shrimp hatchery capacity in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh

Ventured into captive shrimp farming operations in about 200 acres near Ongole, Andhra Pradesh.

1995

Established a shrimp processing plant, at Singarayakonda, Andhra Pradesh.

Commissioned second shrimp processing plant established in Tanuku, Andhra Pradesh

Promoted USA subsidiary Devi seafoods inc., for distribution of shrimp products in North American market.

Foray into shrimp feed manufacturing by setting up production unit near Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

History

With over 25 years’ experience in shrimp processing and export, Devi Sea Foods is a leading supplier of shrimp from India to large reputed customers in Food service and Retail. Based in the state of Andhra Pradesh and located around major shrimp farming centers, Devi has built competencies and harnessed them over years, exclusively catering to farm raised Black Tiger and White shrimp.

Devi Sea Foods has grown by backing its core strengths and expanded operations to set up a fully integrated supply chain network, which includes shrimp processing plants, farms, feed mills and hatchery. Devi Sea Foods has added value to its production competencies by setting up a Marketing and Distribution subsidiary in the USA, taking the company closer to its customers.

Business

Devi Sea Foods operations are built around has three core verticals. The primary vertical is Shrimp Processing and Export which form the backbone of its supply chain and renders strength to the other two sectors. The Second core activity is the shrimp feed division, which produces and supplies quality feed and gives the company a better control over its Supply Chain. The third core vertical is its wholly owned subsidiary Devi Sea Foods Inc., which has taken the company closer to the customer and has been the groups growth driver.

Management

We have a strong management team with significant industry experience. The combination of our experienced Board of Directors and our dynamic management team positions us to capitalize on future growth opportunities.

The team is led by Mr.Brahmanandanam Portu (Chairman and Managing Director), a first generation entrepreneur and also the promoter. Since its inception, Devi Sea Foods has grown multifold under his leadership. Mr.Brahmanandam is recognized for his contribution to the industry and is a role model for many.
